Mailing
There are restrictions, rules, etc. have to be followed if you are mailing your own package to a soldier. Of course all boxes shipped out by us, we make sure everything is packaged accordingly, all paperwork is properly filled out, etc.....
* All items that could leak, melt or are scented should always be put in zip leak proof bags.
* Use a small-medium sturdy corrugated box as free of markings as possible. Must be within size restrictions. Better to send smaller boxes than one large box or use
USPS Priority Mailbox #7 or smaller #4
* Pack very good - use lots of newspapers, fill all space with foam peanuts, bubble wrap, popcorn, etc.
* Double tape all seams with STRONG packing or shipping tape. Put strip all around box.
* If you want reply, include letter with address
* Fill out a “Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note” at the post office
* Briefly list items on declaration
* Underestimate value to discourage thieving
* In upper left corner write your complete return address so they know its safe to open or it might get tossed.
* In bottom left corner write “If the person to whom this box is addressed has been redeployed, please keep this box and share it with someone else
or label: TO CHAPLAIN
* During this conflict must be a direct soldiers name on box or mail. Can’t be addressed “To Any Soldier” or won't be delivered.
